CTF Ladder Ruleset

GamingCube Match Format

(Can be referenced as "GC CTF Rules" in Match Notes.)

Default Settings

Matches are to be played in-game using the BFHQ system.

To set up your matches:

  1. Create your team in-game and send out invites to your members.
  2. Ensure all members are on the roster (from the main menu).
  3. Navigate to BFHQ >> Clan >> Clan Game >> Set Up Game.

Follow the default settings below:

  • Max Players Per Clan:
Set to the agreed match size.
  • Game Mode:
    CTF.
  • Map Name:
Use the map generated by the GC randomizer or agreed upon in Match Notes.
  • Stats Tracking:
    On.
  • Clan Name:
    Leave blank.

Once the match is created, invite your team to the room.

After your team is in the room, invite the other team's leader to join.

Map Selection

The map generator will decide the map to be played in the match. Maps are selected from the following pool:

  • Backstab
  • Deadly Pass
  • Bridge Too Far
  • Cold Front
  • Russian Border
  • The Black Gold
  • The Nest

In the event of a tie, the match/map will be replayed until a winner is declared.

Match Format

Matches default to 2v2-4v4, with no fewer than 2v2.

If the match deviates from this format (e.g., 1v1 or 5v5 and higher), it must be clearly stated in the Match Notes.

Map Bans

Any map bans must be clearly stated in the Match Notes, accompanied by the substitute map choice.

If you choose not to ban any maps, then you are accepting the GamingCube map pool listed above.

Notes

If teams choose not to use "GC CTF Rules" then specific rules must be written out.

Anything other than "GC CTF Rules" or specific rules, teams will be accepting the match as default settings per GamingCube rules.

General Rules

Abuse of Match Notes

If a team abuses the Match Notes:

  1. Take a screenshot or video as proof of the violation.
  2. The offended team must leave the room immediately.
  3. A new room must be created, and the match will restart from the beginning.
  4. If the offending team refuses to join the new room, submit a ticket with proof of the rule violation and their refusal to rejoin.

Failure to leave the room indicates acceptance of the rule violation, and the match must proceed.

Roster Requirements

All players participating in a match must be listed on the team's roster at least 3 hours before the match.

"Ringers" are strictly prohibited. To use a ringer, follow these steps:

  1. DM the other team's leader and get confirmation that they agree to the ringer.
  2. Provide proof of confirmation; without it, the ringer cannot play.
  3. The ringer must play on their actual name to avoid confusion.

If a team does not ask for confirmation and still uses a ringer, the offended team must leave the room immediately and remake the room.

Match Acceptance and Attendance

If a match is accepted by both teams, they are expected to play.

The team that shows up must provide proof (screenshot or video) of the other team's absence.

Without proof, the match will be canceled.

Failure to show up results in a win for the attending team.

If neither team shows up without prior agreement, the match will be canceled.

Reporting Losses

The losing team has 24 hours to report the loss.

Handling Disconnections

If a player or players are disconnected, the match will continue.

A new room will not be created due to disconnections.

Rule Violations

If you believe any rules have been broken, submit a ticket on the GamingCube website.

A staff member will investigate the issue.

Picture/video proof is required; otherwise, no action will be taken.

Rule Changes

Rules are subject to change. If changes occur, the community will be notified.

By adhering to these rules, teams ensure fair and competitive gameplay within the GamingCube community.
